The life of a retired, widowed professor is challenged when a young couple moves in next door. Burning to find answers and unearth the truth about his deceased wife, he follows them into the forest. What he finds there will change his life forever.

SEJ SARAIYA - WRITER, DIRECTOR, PRODUCER (USA/INDIA)

SEJ SARAIYA is a writer & filmmaker who graduated with an MFA from the University of Southern California. Her work, both photography and film explore the themes of consciousness, ancient wisdom, self-love, and usually have women in a lead role.

Her short films THE LANGUAGE THEY SPOKE (2019) and THE CURIOUS WOODS (2021) played in festivals worldwide and won awards for Best Experimental Film, Best Editing. Excellence in Acting, Exceptional Merit in Direction and Viewer Impact, and Best Cinematography. Her feature documentary, THE DANCE OF FREEDOM (2023), which is the story of a tribe of gypsy women who challenged the patriarchal culture they lived in and transformed their lives through dance, is currently in post-production.

PAVEL SAFONOV - EDITOR, DIRECTOR OF PHOTOGRAPHY (USA/RUSSIA)

Having been a filmmaker for 17 years, Pavel’s creative skills have been tapped by artists of such diverse musical backgrounds as Grammy-winning bassist Stanley Clarke, Big Sean, and Travis Scott; and brands like Porsche, Nike, Puma, D&G, Supreme, Diamond Supply Co., to name a few. He has shot and edited over 15 short films, and won awards for Best Editing and Best Cinematography at the Global Taj Int’l Film Festival for the short films THE LANGUAGE THEY SPOKE and THE CURIOUS WOODS. He continues to evolve his craft with an intention of making a positive impact on human existence.

JOHN HENRY RICHARDSON

Born in Virginia and raised in Burbank, California, John Henry studied acting at the world-renowned Pasadena Playhouse College of Theatre Arts and studied filmmaking at the University of California, Los Angeles. Having appeared in over 300 films, TV shows, plays and commercials, he currently also teaches at the NYFA. WHERE IS SHE NOW? a DocuMystery in which he stars as himself (and has Directed) won 20 International Film Festival Awards for Best Film, Best New Genre, Best Director, Best Screenplay at London, Berlin, Sweden, Los Angeles, New York, Phoenix, Houston, Worldfest, Hollywood and Glendale. John Henry has also won acting awards from the L.A. Weekly Theatre Critics, DramaLogue and the Los Angeles Showcase Awards.

SHANNON SPANGLER
(USA)

Shannon Spangler is an actor, voiceover artist, and producer who graduated from NYU Tisch. As an actor, she has appeared in several features, including the Nicholl’s Fellowship Semi-Finalist script A NIGHTMARE WAKES, directed by Nora Unkel; as a VO artist she has voiced campaigns for brands such as Amazon, Forever 21, and Brookstone as well as appearing in several narrative podcasts; and her shorts have played at festivals across the country, including a premiere at Hollyshorts Film Festival.

DENTON WILLIAMSON
(USA)

California native Denton Williamson studied Theater at the Los Angeles Valley College and at The Groundlings Theater & School, and received training as an actor at the Beverly Hills Playhouse under Art Cohan, Michael Petted and Michael Yavnieli. He has played the lead role in various short films including THE CALL, AMONGST FRIENDS, and SUNSHINE IN THE RAIN and has appeared on the TV Series STATION 19.
